Marshfield boys soccer shut out at Stevens Point

STEVENS POINT – The Marshfield boys soccer team was shutout by Stevens Point 3-0 on Thursday night at the Portage County Soccer Complex.

The loss is Marshfield’s second straight in the Wisconsin Valley Conference and it falls to 5-6-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the conference. Stevens Point improves to 3-1-3 overall and 2-0-3 in the Valley.

McKenon Diekroeger scored the Panthers’ first goal with 8:49 left in the first half.

Taylor Durall added the final two scores in the second half.

Trevyn Tham had five saves in goal for the Tigers.

Marshfield will host Holmen and Hortonville in a triangular meet Saturday at Griese Park.
