FALL CREEK – The Auburndale football team won its third straight game, blowing past Fall Creek 46-14 in a nonconference matchup Friday night at Fall Creek High School.
The Apaches are now 4-1, while Fall Creek drops to 2-3.
Auburndale led 21-14 at halftime before ripping the Crickets 25-0 in the second half to pull away.
Quarterback Wyatt Weiler ran for 111 yards and scored twice, Jake Lewis had 119 yards rushing and two scores, and Matt Nikolay also added two rushing touchdowns and 57 yards receiving for the Apaches.
Auburndale (3-1 Marawood Conference) has a bye next week and returns to conference action on Oct. 3 at Pittsville.
