COLBY – Johnelle Miner finished fourth and Kaylee Hollatz took eighth to lift the Stratford girls cross country team to a fourth-place finish at the Colby Invitational on Thursday at Colby High School.
Miner finished in 21:44.90 and Hollatz was eighth in 22:10.71 for the Tigers, who totaled 127 points.
Phillips won the girls team title with 45 points, 19 better than Wittenberg-Birnamwood. Chequamegon was third.
Spencer finished ninth and Auburndale was 10th in the 13-team field.
Kali Karl was 16th in 22:31.84 and Abby Bauer took 22nd in 23:17.65 to lead Auburndale.
Kaitlin Kasch ws 29th in 23:45.48 and Sam Fuehrer was 33rd in 23:57.19 for Spencer.
The Stratford boys were fifth, Spencer took 13th and Auburndale was 15th.
Chequamegon took first in the boys team standings.
Cade Lehman was ninth in 18:14.43 and Mark Wenzel finished 18th in 18:57.30 for the Tigers.
Donovan Fox was 24th in 19:13.35 to lead Spencer, and Auburndale’s top runner was Cody Gehrke, who took 34th in 19:51.28.
