Columbus Catholic volleyball fourth at Lakeland Invitational

MINOCQUA – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team went 2-3 to finish fourth out of eight teams at the Lakeland Invitational on Saturday at Lakeland High School.

Columbus Catholic defeated Lakeland 22-25, 25-18, 15-13, and Crandon 25-21, 25-21, before losing to Wausau Newman Catholic, Shawan and Phillips.

Jennifer Reigel had 51 assists and Bailey Neider had 37 assists for the Dons in the five matches.

Kendra Baierl had 32 kills and seven blocks, Celine Scholin added 18 kills and 11 blocks, and Sierra Litwatis had a team-high 45 digs for the Dons.

Columbus will play in the eighth-place game of the Cloverbelt Conference crossover games on Tuesday. The matchup has not been announced.
