WAUSAU – Mike Field shot an 80 and Chris Stemen had an 81 to lead the Marshfield boys golf team to a second-place finish at the D.C. Everest Invite on Tuesday at Greenwood Hills Country Club.
The Tigers lost out on the team title by just one stroke to Rhinelander, which had a score of 330. Tyde Terzinski and Josh Willis each shot 79 for the Hodags, edging Field by a shot for medalist honors.
“We shot our best team score of the year on a very demanding course,” Marshfield coach Paul Foegen said. “Mike, Chris and Pat (Hayes) shot their best scores of the year.”
Hayes had an 84 and Brandon Brown shot an 86 to round out the Marshfield scorers.
