MARATHON – Marathon pitcher Will Reiche struck out four and allowed just three hits as the Raiders downed Auburndale 13-0 in a Marawood Conference South Division baseball game Thursday.
Marathon put 10 runs on the board in the first inning and cruised from there to improve to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in conference play. Auburndale falls to 2-5, 1-3 in the Marawood South.
Rhys Wahleithner, Dave Altmann and Troy Kollross each had a hit to account for Auburndale’s offensive production.
Cody Hanke hit a home run for Marathon.
Auburndale plays at Pittsville on Friday.
