SPENCER – Spencer jumped out to a six-point lead by halftime and held on from there, downing Neillsville 46-41 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division boys basketball battle Tuesday night at Spencer High School.
The game matched two of the three undefeated teams in the Cloverbelt East. Spencer is now 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the conference, while Neillsville falls to 4-2 and 4-1 in the conference.
Bobby Pilz had 16 points to lead the Rockets. Calvin Lenz added eight.
Spencer’s next game is Jan. 3 at home against Auburndale.
