Spencer girls basketball drops home game to Neillsville

SPENCER – A 17-2 run in the second quarter pushed Neillsville to a big lead and on its way to a 40-14 victory over Spencer in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Thursday night at Spencer High School.

Neillsville used the big run to take a 24-6 halftime lead. The Warriors (7-2, 6-1 Cloverbelt East) held Spencer to eight points in the second half to finish off the victory.

Sydney Miller led a balanced attack for Neillsville with nine points. Taylor Henchen added eight.

Melissa Lehman had six points for Spencer (2-6, 2-5 Cloverbelt East).

Spencer’s next game is Tuesday at Greenwood.
