Auburndale girls basketball whips Northland Lutheran

KRONENWETTER – Shannon Yahnke proved unstoppable inside for the Auburndale girls basketball team on Friday night.

Yahnke made 8 of 9 shots from the field and all six of her free throws to total 22 points and lead the Apaches to a 63-22 victory over Northland Lutheran at Northland Lutheran High School.

Taylor Gotz had 10 points and eight rebounds, and Paiton Richardson added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Apaches, who improve to 11-2 overall and 5-1 in the Marawood Conference South Division.

Auburndale plays at Wausau Newman Catholic on Thursday.
