Wausau West blanks Marshfield boys hockey

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys hockey team fell to 1-6 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference with a 6-0 loss to Wausau West on Thursday at the Marshfield Ice Arena.

The Tigers (5-11 overall) return to action next Thursday at home against Tomahawk in a nonconference matchup.

Wausau West improves to 11-2 and 5-1 in the conference.

Hunter Ricklefs had two goals and an assist, and Kellen Tharaldson had a goal and two assists for the Warriors.

Wausau West outshot Marshfield 52-8. Haydon Roy-Peterson had 46 saves for the Tigers.
