RHINELANDER – The Marshfield boys basketball team ended a five-game losing streak with a 50-47 win at Rhinelander on Tuesday night.
The Tigers trailed 22-20 at halftime before outscoring the Hodags 15-5 in the third quarter to open up an eight-point lead.
Rhinelander tied the game late before Tanner Boson drilled his fourth 3-pointer of the game just before the buzzer to win it for Marshfield.
Boson was 4-for-5 on 3-pointers and led Marshfield with 12 points. Jordan Schlinsog had 10 points, and Adam Fravert added 10 points and eight rebounds for the Tigers.
Marshfield (5-9) plays at Wausau West on Friday. The game will be broadcast on WDLB-AM 1450 and wdlbwosq.com.
