PITTSVILLE – Stratford held Pittsville to just seven made field goals and rolled to a 47-24 victory in a Marawood Conference South Division girls basketball game Friday night at Pittsville High School.
Stratford outscored Pittsville 22-7 over the middle two quarters to pull away and complete the season-sweep of the Panthers.
Tianna Hughes had 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Andie Zuelke added seven points and nine rebounds for Stratford (13-7, 6-5 Marawood South).
Jenna Hughes scored 13 points to account for more than half of the Panthers’ points. Pittsville (2-17, 0-11 Marawood South) was just 7 of 32 from the field in the loss.
Stratford hosts Marathon next Thursday.
