Spencer girls basketball grabs home win over Rib Lake

SPENCER – The Spencer girls basketball team ended a three-game losing streak and eased past Rib Lake 42-34 in a nonconference game Monday night at Spencer High School.

The Rockets led 11-6 after the first quarter and outscored Rib Lake by three points in the second half to post the eight-point win.

Melissa Lehman scored 13 points to lead Spencer. Abby Varsho added six points and a game-high nine rebounds.

Both teams are now 5-12.

Spencer plays at Neillsville on Friday.
