OWEN – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team won for the third-straight time as it knocked off Owen-Withee 63-54 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Friday night at Owen-Withee High School.
The Dons improve to 13-7 overall and 12-3 in the Cloverbelt East with the victory. Columbus remains in a tie for second place with Neillsville and play at Spencer in the conference finale on Monday at 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on WDLB-AM 1450 and wdlbwosq.com.
Spencer wrapped up sole possession of the conference title with a win at Colby on Friday.
Owen-Withee is now 11-9 and 9-6 in the Cloverbelt East.
Tyler Fuerlinger scored 23 points and Evan Nikolai added 15 for the Dons in the road win.
