STRATFORD – Three Stratford players scored in double figures and the Tigers used a big first half to blow past Stevens Point Pacelli 57-23 in a WIAA Division 4 girls basketball regional quarterfinal on Tuesday night at Stratford High School.
The Tigers led 21-6 after one quarter and outscored Pacelli (4-19) 10-1 in the second quarter to pull out to a 31-7 lead.
Stratford (15-8) moves on to a regional semifinal at Auburndale (18-4) on Friday at 7 p.m. Auburndale swept both Marawood Conference South Division meetings this season.
Macie Frueh scored 13 points, Tianna Hughes added 11 points, and Andie Zuelke had 10 points and nine rebounds for Stratford.
