WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Derek Michalski shot an 87 to finish fifth for Marshfield at the Wisconsin Rapids Boys Golf Triangular on Tuesday at the Ridges Golf Course.
Stevens Point swept the top four spots to win the team standings with a score of 326. Marshfield was second with a 361 and Wisconsin Rapids was third with a 421.
Point’s Taylor Thomas shot a 78 to edge teammate Jake Hofmeister by one shot to win meet medalist honors.
Jordan Schlinsog had an 89, Zach Shortess shot a 90 and Grant Michaelis had a 95 to round out the scoring for the Tigers.
Marshfield’s next meet is April 21 at home. The Tigers will host Wausau East, Stevens Point, D.C. Everest, Antigo and Rhinelander in the Marshfield Invitational at RiverEdge Golf Course.
