Spencer’s Calvin Lenz no-hits Prentice/Butternut, Rockets roll 12-0

SPENCER – Spencer scored multiple runs in each of the first four innings and blew out Prentice/Butternut 12-0 in a nonconference baseball matchup Tuesday at Spencer High School.

Calvin Lenz tossed a five-inning no-hitter for the Rockets as the game ended early due to the 10-run rule.

Lenz struck out 10 and walked three in the victory.

Spencer scored four times in the first inning and added eight more runs over its next three at-bats to roll to the win.

Mitch Susa was 3-for-3 with four RBIs, and Lenz and Jake Meyers each had two hits for the Rockets (2-1).

Spencer hosts Greenwood on Friday in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game. The game will be broadcast on WOSQ-FM 92.3 and wdlbwosq.com beginning at 5 p.m.
