EDGAR – Lorrie Luepke allowed just three hits and struck out eight in a complete-game effort, and had three RBIs to lift the Stratford softball team to a 14-1 victory over Edgar in a nonconference matchup Tuesday at Edgar High School.
Stratford scored six runs in the second inning and cruised from there behind Luepke, who earned the win, allowing just one run in five innings.
Dallas Adams and Luepke each had three RBIs, and Brittany Bredemann, Kaylee Geiger and Alexis Hofmann each had two hits for the Tigers, who are now 5-1 this season.
Edgar falls to 2-1.
Stratford plays at Wausau Newman Catholic on Friday.
