COLBY – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic baseball team pounded out 14 hits and scored multiple runs in four different innings to beat Colby 14-5 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Friday at Colby High School.
Billy Young earned the win for the Dons (4-3 overall and Cloverbelt East) as he struck out four, walked five, and gave up five runs and eight hits in six innings.
Charles Payant had three hits, and Will Atkinson, John Edwards, Matthias Gouin and Kienan McIntee each had a pair of hits for Columbus.
Columbus hosts Gilman on Tuesday at Reeths Field beginning at 5 p.m.
