WAUSAU – Brittany Bredemann continued her torrid pace at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs scored, to lead the Stratford softball team to a 7-3 victory over Wausau Newman Catholic on Monday at Sunnyvale Park.
Stratford is now 12-3 overall and 7-1 in the Marawood Conference South Division, while Newman falls to 2-4 overall and in the conference.
Kiana Weiler earned the win for the Tigers, striking out nine and walking one in seven innings.
Dallas Adams and Casey Kolbeck each drove in a pair of runs, and Lorrie Luepke and Sammy Griesbach each had two hits for Stratford.
The Tigers host Edgar in a nonconference matchup Tuesday.
