GREENWOOD – The Spencer baseball team continued its strong run through the Cloverbelt Conference East Division with a 12-9 victory Thursday over Greenwood.
The Rockets scored seven times in the fourth inning to break open a tie game and held on for their seventh win in a row.
Calvin Lenz earned the win despite allowing seven runs and 11 hits in five innings.
Mitch Susa had a home run and three RBIs, Jonny Tomke added three hits and an RBI and Hunter Hildebrandt drove in two runs for Spencer (11-2 overall, 7-1 Cloverbelt East).
Booker Bredlau smacked two home runs in the loss for Greenwood (4-7, 4-5 Cloverbelt East).
Spencer hosts Columbus Catholic on Thursday.
