AUBURNDALE – Northland Lutheran scored five runs in the third inning and added nine more in the fourth to beat Auburndale 16-5 in a Marawood Conference South Division softball game Monday at Auburndale High School.
Auburndale had eight errors and three pitchers combined for five walks in the loss.
Northland Lutheran’s Katie Gross held Auburndale to three hits. She walked six and struck out three.
Kayleigh Kundinger had a double, and Stacy Brokish and Nicole Nikolay had singles to account for Auburndale’s hits. Kari Willfahrt had two RBIs.
The Apaches (3-7, 1-7 Marawood South) return to action Thursday at Edgar.
