MARATHON – Stevens Point won its third-straight leg of the 2015 Wisconsin Valley Conference Boys Golf Tournament, posting a score of 319 on Friday at Pine Valley Golf Course.
The meet was hosted by Wausau East.
Marshfield finished fourth with a score of 348, 13 shots in back of third-place Wausau East. Wausau West was second with a 328.
Jordan Schlinsog took 11th with an 84, Derek Michalski was 12th with an 85, Zach Shortess shot an 88, Brandon Nikolai had a 91 and Grant Michaelis shot a 95 for the Tigers.
Matt Tuman of Wausau East and Taylor Thomas of Stevens Point tied for medalist honors with a four-over par 76.
The fourth leg of the seven-meet tournament is scheduled for Tuesday at Greenwood Hills Country Club in Wausau. D.C. Everest is the host.
