AUBURNDALE – Paul Willfahrt threw a complete-game four-hitter, and Wyatt Weiler and Caleb Weinfurter each had a pair of RBIs to lead the Auburndale baseball team to a 7-1 win over Edgar in a nonconference game Tuesday at Auburndale High School.
Edgar (4-11-1) lead 1-0 after three innings before Auburndale (7-9) got to work offensively.
The Apaches scored four times in the fourth, twice in the fifth and once in the sixth to pull away.
Willfahrt struck out nine and did not walk a batter to earn the win.
Cooper Krings had a pair of doubles and drove in a run for Auburndale, which had six hits in all.
The Apaches are off until May 26 when they host Wausau Newman Catholic in their Marawood South finale.
