WESTBORO – The Marshfield Chaparrals were held to five hits and dropped a 7-4 decision to the Westboro Trojans in amateur baseball action Sunday.
The Chaparrals walked eight times but left eight runners on base in the loss as they fall to 10-6 overall and 8-3 in the Dairyland League.
Ryan Metz suffered the loss, giving up seven runs, five of which were earned. He struck out five.
Sam Schwanebeck went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs for Marshfield.
The Chaparrals return to action Thursday with a non-league game at Plover.
