Marshfield girls tennis beats Wausau West in WVC dual opener

WAUSAU WEST – Marshfield swept the three doubles matches and also won three singles matches in a 6-1 victory over Wausau West in its Wisconsin Valley Conference girls tennis opener Thursday at West High School.

All six victories by the Tigers were in straight sets.

Olivia Haessly and Emily Serchen won at No. 1 doubles over Sarah Snoeyenbos and Kate Peterson 6-4, 6-2, and Ashley Schultz was victorious at No. 1 singles over Jordan Kucksdorf 6-3, 6-1, for the Tigers.

Marshfield will compete at the Green Bay Southwest Invitational on Saturday.
