WAUSAU – For the first time this season, the Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team did not win, however, it didn’t lose either.
Columbus outshot Wausau Newman Catholic 26-5 (15-2 on goal), but managed just one goal and tied the Cardinals 1-1 in a Mid-State Soccer Conference matchup Thursday at Newman Catholic High School.
Farid Torbey scored on a header off a corner kick from Nick Malovrh for the Dons’ only goal. Bailey Keffer had one save in goal for Columbus.
The Dons (6-0-1, 3-0-1 MSSC) host McDonell/Regis at 5 p.m. Monday at Griese Park.
