Marshfield girls golf third at third leg of Clover Valley Golf League tournament

STEVENS POINT – The Marshfield girls golf team took third place with a score of 217 at the third leg of the Clover Valley Golf League Tournament on Friday at Stevens Point Country Club.

Ana Jensen and Jordyn Fitzgerald tied for seventh with a 50, and Patty Bloczynski had a season-best 55 for the Tigers, who finished just one shot behind Eau Claire Regis for second place.

Stevens Point won the team title with a 193.

Cierra Botcher of Wisconsin Rapids was meet medalist with a 42, four shots ahead of Julia Szepieniec of Regis.

The fourth leg of the tournament is Sept. 15 at Indianhead Golf Course in Mosinee. The meet will be hosted by D.C. Everest.
