CHIPPEWA FALLS – The Marshfield girls swim team finished seventh out of nine teams at the Chippewa Falls Invitational on Saturday at Chippewa Falls Middle School.
Wisconsin Rapids won the meet with 248 points, eight more than Onalaska-Holmen-Aquinas. Marshfield was seventh with 104 points.
Marshfield had eight top-10 finishes, led by a pair of thirds.
Sophie Koehn was third in the 100 backstroke (1:07.51) and sixth in the 200 freestyle (2:15.03), and Ryenne Zee was third in the 100 free (1:00.78) and eighth in the 50 free (28.23) for the Tigers.
Elizabeth Holbrook took fifth in the 200 IM (2:31.95) and sixth in the 100 breaststroke (1:17.62), Valerie Kushnir was sixth in the 100 butterfly (1:10.68), and the 200 free relay team of Kushnir, Zee, Holbrook and Koehn was sixth in 1:52.99.
Marshfield hosts Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday.
