SPENCER – The Spencer volleyball team made quick work of Neillsville, rolling to a 3-0 win in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division match Thursday at Spencer High School.

The Rockets won 25-9, 25-11, 25-16, to improve to 6-0 in the Cloverbelt East.

Macie Weber had 12 kills and 10 blocks, Sadie Mercier had 25 assists, and Jenna Rogers added eight digs for the Rockets. Jenna Schober chipped in with six kills and six digs, and Liz Endreas added six kills.

“We struggled the past two matches with energy, but we brought some tonight,” Spencer coach Buff Heller said. “Our attack really kept Neillsville off balance. The win sets us up to control our own destiny for a conference title.”

Spencer will compete at the Reedsburg Invitational on Saturday and wrap up its Cloverbelt East season on Tuesday at Greenwood. With a victory, the Rockets would clinch their fifth-straight conference championship.
