ATHENS – All five Auburndale runners finished in the top 12 to lead the Apaches girls to a first-place finish at the Athens Cross Country Invitational on Thursday at Erbach Park.
Stratford’s Johnelle Miner won her second-straight meet for the Tigers, taking first in 20:23.5.
Isabella Jewell led Auburndale, taking fourth in 21:15.2, with Kali Karl sixth (22:42.9), Katie Leick seventh (22:21.7), and Jordy Richardson 10th (22:47.1), as the Apaches totaled 32 points, seven better than Stratford.
Macie Schillinger took third for the Tigers in 21:14.0.
Wisconsin Rapids Assumption won the boys team title with Stratford second and Auburndale fifth.
John Geissinger led Stratford, taking third in 17:36.3, and teammate Josh Guyer was ninth in 18:16.4.
Auburndale’s Carvey Empey took 11th in 18:27.4.
Stratford will compete at the Auburndale Invitational on Tuesday at Frey Field.
