TOMAH – Marshfield senior Jordyn Fitzgerald shot a 91 to finish in a tie for 21st at the WIAA Division 1 girls golf sectional on Monday at Hiawatha Golf Course.
Onalaska won the team title with a score of 347, six shots better than second-place Eau Claire Memorial. Those two teams and the top three golfers not on those teams advance to next week’s 2015 WIAA State Girls Golf Championships at University Ridge Golf Club in Verona on Oct. 12-13.
Fitzgerald closed out her season finishing seven shots in back of the final individual qualifying spot.
Lexi Jonas of Hudson shot a 78 to win medalist honors and earn a spot in the state meet. Ilayna Long of Tomah (81) and Alyssa Bee of Eau Claire North (84) earned the other two individual spots.
