Marshfield freshman football shut out Wausau East, now 6-1

WAUSAU – The Marshfield freshman football team improved to 6-1 with a dominating 24-0 win over Wausau East on Thursday at East High School.

Caden Pearce scored a rushing touchdown, and Ryan Krueger threw touchdown passes to Dawson Tysver and Mason Coffren and added three extra points and a 23-yard field goal for Marshfield’s scoring.

Preston Wagner, Justin Stanek and Nolan Hertel were the Tigers’ leading tacklers, and Sam Mitchell recovered a fumble for Marshfield.

Marshfield finishes its season Tuesday with a home game at Marshfield High School against Medford at 4 p.m.
