MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield volleyball team won its fifth-straight Wisconsin Valley Conference dual, sweeping Wausau East 3-0 on Thursday night at Marshfield High School.
The Tigers won 25-15, 25-18, 25-11, to improve to 5-2 in the WVC heading into the second conference tournament of the season Saturday at Wausau East. East is now 3-5.
Sara Dasler had 14 digs and three service aces, Anna Ripp had 25 assists, and Stephanie Rhodes and Hannah Meverden each had seven kills for the Tigers.
Following three matches at the WVC meet on Saturday against Merrill, Wisconsin Rapids and Wausau West, the Tigers finish their regular-season schedule at home against D.C. Everest on Tuesday and at Stevens Point on Oct. 15.
