Mauston scores in final seconds to send Columbus Catholic soccer to first loss of season

MARSHFIELD – Mauston scored as the clock expired to send the Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team to its first loss of the season on Tuesday at Griese Park.

The Dons lost 2-1 and are now 12-1-3 with a Mid-State Soccer Conference game against Tri-County remaining on their schedule. The game is at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Griese Park.

Nick Malovrh scored Columbus Catholic’s lone goal, off an assist from Charles Payant.

Bailey Keffer had four saves in goal for the Dons, who outshot Mauston (9-8-3) 10-6.
