SPENCER – The Spencer volleyball team made quick work of Necedah, blasting the Warriors 3-0 in a WIAA Division 3 regional quarterfinal on Tuesday at Spencer High School.
The Rockets dominated, winning 25-14, 25-3, 25-14, to advance to the regional semfinals. Spencer will host Cloverbelt Conference East Division rival Neillsville on Thursday. Neillsville beat Stratford 3-2 on Tuesday.
The Rockets swept Neillsville back on Oct. 1.
Macie Weber had 16 kills and five blocks, Sadie Mercier and McKenzie Bainer eachhad 14 assists, and Jenna Rogers had eight digs and five service aces for the Rockets.
“It was nice to have all 14 girls contribute to the win,” Spencer coach Buff Heller said. “Our overall attack was pretty solid and our serving was way better than it has been.”
