MINOCQUA – The Marshfield girls swim team won three events and had four second-place finishes in a 111-58 loss to Lakeland in a nonconference dual meet on Tuesday at Lakeland High School.
The dual was Marshfield’s final one of the season.
Marshfield’s 200 medley relay team of Sophie Koehn, Elizabeth Holbrook, Valerie Kushnir and Ryenne Zee won in 2:05.36. Holbrook went on to win the 200 IM in 2:26.25 and Zee took first in the 50 freestyle in 27.89 seconds.
Zee was second in the 100 freestyle (1:01.52), Koehn took second in the 100 backstroke (1:08.87), Holbrook was second in the 100 breaststroke (1:14.61) and Kushnir finished second in the 100 butterfly (1:11.64) for the Tigers.
Grace Hilbelink won the 50 freestyle (30.20) and April Read took first in the 100 backstroke (1:19.65) for the Marshfield JV.
Marshfield’s next meet is the Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Thursday, Oct. 29. The WIAA Division 1 sectional is Saturday, Nov. 7, at Hudson.
