Auburndale senior Taylor Gotz was a first-team selection and teammate Sydney Schmutzer, a senior setter, was a second-team pick for the Apaches on the 2015 All-Marawood Conference South Division Volleyball Team.
Stratford junior Savannah Schillinger and freshman Mazie Nagel were second-team picks for the Tigers.
Gotz led Auburndale with 46 kills in Marawood South play, where the Apaches finished 4-2 and in third place in the standings. She was also fifth in the conference in serve percentage at 98.4 percent.
Schmutzer was the top setter for the Apaches with 112 assists and was fourth on the team in digs with 25. She also was second in the conference in kill percentage at 43.4 percent (26-for-53).
Nagel was third in the conference in kills per game (2.9), second in overall kills with 67, and tied for fourth in the conference with 68 digs. Schillinger was 12th with 53 digs and also had 56 kills.
“Mazie was our offensive go-to player and could be relied on to earn a side out in crucial situations,” Stratford coach Brooke Kafka said. “Savannah is a great defensive player that has stepped into an all-around playing position as a senior. She has played an important role on our team over the past four seasons.”
Auburndale senior Robyn Brokish and junior Brooke Anderson, and Stratford sophomore Makayla Krall and junior Andie Zuelke were honorable mention selections.
Wausau Newman Catholic junior Mariah Whalen was named Player of the Year after compiling a league-high 113 kills and helping the Cardinals to a perfect 6-0 record in conference play.
