MENASHA – Allie Paitel had 27 points and 13 rebounds to help lift the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team to a 76-29 rout of UW-Fox Valley on Thursday night in a Wisconsin Collegiate Conference game.
The Marauders are now 3-1 overall and in the WCC, one game behind undefeated UW-Waukesha in the standings.
UW-Marshfield/Wood County built a 20-10 lead after one quarter and were up 41-20 by halftime. The Marauders held the Cyclones to just nine second-half points as UW-FV shot just 18.5 percent (10 of 54) from the field.
Katelyn Meacham chipped in 21 points, making 10 of 15 shots from the field, and Hayley Bunnell had 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Marauders.
Marshfield plays at UW-Manitowoc on Monday.
