Marshfield boys basketball loses at La Crosse Central

LA CROSSE – The Marshfield boys basketball team got off to a slow start and dropped a 77-53 decision to La Crosse Central in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Central High School.

The Red Raiders (3-0) jumped out to a 37-20 lead and built on that in the second half to knock off Marshfield (2-2).

Adam Fravert had 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers before fouling out late. Alec Hinson added 11 points for Marshfield.

Marshfield opens its Wisconsin Valley Conference schedule Friday at defending WIAA Division 1 state champion Stevens Point.
