RICHLAND CENTER – Freshman Bentley Schwanebeck-Ostermann won the 145-pound championship for Marshfield as the Tigers wrestling team finished fourth at the Richland Center Invitational on Saturday.
Schwanebeck-Ostermann improved to 11-5 in his first varsity season after beating Caleb Johnson of Riverdale 11-5 in the 145-pound title match.
Tanner Kanable (106) and Anthony Kanable (132) lost in their respective championship matches to take second, and Caden Pearce was third at 126 pounds for Marshfield.
The Tigers finished with 217.5 points to finish fourth behind Monroe (252), Reedsburg (244) and Tomah (238).
Marshfield will be back in action Dec. 29-30 at the Bi-State Classic at La Crosse.
