KRONENWETTER – The Stratford boys basketball team survived a tough shooting game to edge Wisconsin Valley Lutheran 36-32 in a nonconference matchup Friday night at Wisconsin Valley Lutheran High School.
The Tigers (4-3) shot just 28 percent from the field (11 of 38) but were able to hold WVL (1-3) to just 13 first-half points and held on from there.
Derrick Schmidt scored 15 points and Ethan Nagel had 11 rebounds for Stratford.
Stratford’s next game is Monday at home against Wisconsin Rapids Assumption.
