MARSHFIELD – Brian Engel won two individual events and was part of two winning relays to help the Marshfield boys swim team to a 98-67 victory over D.C. Everest in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual on Tuesday at Marshfield High School.
Engel won the 100 freestyle in 54.37 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 1:07.49. He was also part of the winning 200 medley relay team, along with Scott Thompson, Michael Kruse and Calden Wojt, that won in 1:55.58, and the 200 freestyle relay team, along with Zach Hansen, Kruse and Colin Thomasgard, that won with a time of 1:44.39.
Wojt won the 50 freestyle in 25.12 seconds and Kruse won the 100 butterfly in 1:06.21 for Marshfield’s other two victories.
The Tigers, now 3-2 in the WVC this season, is at Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday.
