RHINELANDER – Mike Field shot an 82 and Michael Josephson had an 84 to lift the Marshfield boys golf team to a fourth-place finish at the fifth leg of the Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament on Friday at Northwood Golf Course.
The Tigers finished fourth for the second straight leg of the tournament.
Wausau West’s Josh Strum, who leads the individual standings, shot a 79 to tie with Larry Wetzel for second with a 79. Matthew Sandquist of Wausau West was the meet medalist with a 76.
Pat Hayes and Brandon Brown each shot 90s to round out the scoring for Marshfield.
The WVC tournament wraps up with meets at Stevens Point on Tuesday and at RiverEdge Golf Course in Marshfield on May 21.
