PITTSVILLE – Savannah Schillinger scored 15 of her game-high 20 points in the first half to lift the Stratford girls basketball team to a 61-23 rout of Pittsville in a Marawood Conference South Division game Tuesday night at Pittsville High School.
Schillinger hit four 3-pointers, including three in the first half, to help the Tigers build a 39-12 lead at the break.
Sammy Griesbach added 15 points and Macie Frueh added 10 for the Tigers, who improve to 9-2 overall and 3-2 in the Marawood South. Pittsville is now 1-7, and 0-4 in the conference.
Stratford hosts first-place Marathon at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Marathon (10-1, 5-0 Marawood South) is the No. 1-ranked team in this week’s Wissports.net Division 4 state coaches poll.
