Forfeits lift Edgar past Auburndale wrestling

AUBURNDALE – Edgar and Auburndale split the six matches wrestled, but the Wildcats were able to win the meet by the aid of five forfeits 45-22 in a Marawood Conference wrestling dual Thursday at Auburndale High School.

Trayton Weister (120 pounds) and Keller Wolfe (170) won by pin, and Dylan Altmann earned a major decision at 145 for Auburndale’s three victories. Kaleb Bolder also won by forfeit for the Apaches.

Both teams are now 1-1 in the Marawood.

Auburndale will compete at the D.C. Everest Invitational on Saturday.
