AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale girls basketball team wasted no time in dismantling Northland Lutheran, using a 26-3 first-half run on its way to a 56-26 victory in a Marawood Conference South Division game Friday night at Auburndale High School.
Tyalor Gotz scored 21 points to lead Auburndale, which had eight different players score in the win.
Auburndale (7-2, 4-2 Marawood South) led 26-3 at halftime as it rolled to the 30-point victory.
Northland Lutheran (3-9, 0-5 Marawood South) made just five baskets in the game, with 13 of its points coming at the free throw line.
The Apaches will return to action Tuesday for a nonconference game at Nekoosa.
