PITTSVILLE – Stratford fell behind by double digits early and couldn’t recover, losing to Pittsville 56-30 in a Marawood Conference South Division boys basketball game Friday night at Pittsville High School.
Pittsville led 26-11 at the break and outscored the Tigers by 11 in the second half to pull away.
Nick Stoflet had 13 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Stratford (6-5 overall, 2-2 Marawood South).
The Tigers shot just 29 percent (11 of 37) in the loss.
Stratford’s next game is Tuesday at home against first-place Marathon.
