Auburndale girls basketball surges past Spencer

AUBURNDALE – Paiton Richardson scored 17 points and Allison Linzmeier added 11 as the Auburndale girls basketball team beat Spencer 54-31 in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Auburndale High School.

Richardson was 6 of 10 from the field and Linzmeier made 6 of 7 free throws for the Apaches (10-2).

Auburndale outscored Spencer (6-6) 25-9 in the second half to pull away for the 23-point win.

Sydney Kind had 14 points for Spencer.

Auburndale’s next game is Friday at Stratford, while Spencer plays Thursday at Colby.
