Columbus Catholic girls basketball holds off Greenwood

MARSHFIELD – Marissa Immerfall had 18 points and 10 rebounds to help the Columbus Catholic girls basketball team to a 51-45 victory over Greenwood in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Tuesday night at Columbus Catholic High School.

Columbus ran out to a 32-23 lead at halftime and held on from there despite scoring just 19 points in the second half.

The dons made 16 of 24 free throws, including 6 of 7 from Abby Baierl, to ice the win.

Jess Trad added 11 points for the Dons (6-7, 3-5 Cloverbelt East).

Columbus plays at Greenwood (2-10, 1-8 Cloverbelt East) on Thursday.
